![]() Objects of Desire: Samsung SP-H03Aug 16, 2010 By Dan Havlik
Though there are lots of pint-sized pico projectors out there now, the SP-H03 offers features that some of the competition can only dream of. For one, the projector has 1 gb of built-in memory that's expandable via microSD card (up to 16 gb) or by attaching a USB storage device. The Samsung projector can handle image files, video files, or music files in a variety of formats and projection is a relatively painless process. The six-ounce SP-H03 has a snazzy square design that slips easily into a photo bag, backpack or even your pocket. The projector uses an energy-efficient LED light source that's bright (30 ASNI lumens) but also eco-friendly (30,000 maximum hours of life). Offering WVGA (854 x 480) native resolution and image projection with sizes ranging from nine to 80 inches, this is a pretty powerful presentation device despite its petite size. If you want to include document files along with your photos or videos, the SP-H03 has a computer-free document viewer that lets you display Microsoft Office or Adobe PDF files as well. If you want to add some music to your presentation, the projector has an integrated speaker and output connectors to headphones or external speakers. Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the SP-H03 can keep going and going for up to two hours. Cost: $300 Further information: www.samsung.com |
