![]() Objects of Desire: iHome Notebook Cooling Pad with 3 USB 2.0 PortsOct 26, 2009 By Dan Havlik
Though not exactly a revolutionary product, the Notebook Cooling Pad from iHome certainly works as advertised, providing breezy, fan-driven relief for even the most blazingly hot laptop computers. The Cooling Pad gets power from the USB port on your laptop so there's no need for batteries. Just plug the included USB cord from the pad to your laptop, turn the device on and two built-in fans will cool down the bottom of your computer. Meanwhile, the plastic pad itself provides a comfortable buffer between you and the burn of your overworked hard drive. The Cooling Pad also has three USB 2.0 ports so it can double as a hub. Available in either black or white, the pad expands to fit different sized laptops and is collapsible to make it easy to travel with.
