The Nikon D3 moves the company in a radically new direction. Based
around a full-frame (finally!) 12.1-megapixel sensor, the D3 is
designed to make the best images possible. Utilizing a new image
processing engine that provides 12- or 14-bit output, the D3 takes
incredible images at high ISO and can even capture images up to ISO
25,600. The live-picture capable three-inch LCD screen is
brilliant, and the dual Compact Flash slots can handle two cards at
a time for unlimited high-capacity shooting. Available in November,
the D3 is a great leap forward in Nikon technology.
