CANON EOS-1D MARK III

Sept 14, 2007

This super-high-speed successor to the venerable sports-centric Mark II boasts a 10.1-megapixel sensor inside a chassis that can capture images at up to 10 frames per second (a first in digital SLRs). The Mark III also incorporates the hottest technology, with dual DIGIC III processors. It’s able to capture a maximum burst of 110 JPEG images and is incredibly accurate, thanks to a 45-point AF system. Improved weather sealing keeps the camera dry out in the field, while the new 3-inch LCD screen offers unparalleled image review possibilities. Canon also revamped the aging menu system to a more streamlined and easy-to-follow interface, controlled by a small joystick inherited from Canon’s prosumer models.
