It stands out as having the fastest shooting speed in the medium-format-back world, capturing images at .8 seconds per frame (or 75 frames per minute, better than one per second) until the media fills. Leaf’s full range of medium-format backs works with the company’s Portable Power solutions, providing external storage and image viewing through a 3.5-inch LCD screen. All six models work in tethered mode with a portable hard drive or CF card. The Aptus backs are compatible with cameras from Hasselblad, Mamiya, Contax, Fuji, Bronica and view cameras from Sinar, Toyo, Cambo, Linhof, Horseman and Rollei. All models in the Aptus line work with the company’s Digital Magazines—FireWire-based hard drives that clip to the bottom of the unit and provide up to 60 gb of storage space.
