The New, Free AT&T 3G USB Data Card

AT&T has released an Opticon manufactured HSPA—that's 3G data to you and me—USB card that's small, and free but only if you buy one of AT&T's data plans.

At 1.2 ounces, the card is small enough to take anywhere and it hooks up not only with US 3G data services but those in 150 countries as well.

The card, called the Quicksilver, is free with any of the company's data plans, including the $60/month 5GB plan. However, AT&T doesn't offer unlimited bandwidth on their mobile data cards like some other vendors do, so the service can become very pricey for heavy-duty laptop users if you go over that 5GB cap.
