Now Available: Canon Firmware Update with Manual Video Control for 5D Mark II DSLR
June 2, 2009
That firmware update from Canon
we told you about last week is now available for users of
the 5D Mark II digital SLR.The update will allow the 5D II's 1080p
high-def video mode to operate a lot like its manual still mode
with control over exposure, ISO, aperture, and other
settings.
Manual control of HD video is something photographers have been
asking for since the 5D Mark II was announced last year. The new
firmware update does not allow the camera to shoot in 24p video
mode, however, which is another highly sought-after feature in the
5D Mark II.
The update is available by clicking
here. Word of warning though: the link to the new Canon
firmware seems to be getting hit with a ton of traffic and is
running slow.

July 01, 2010 - Profoto's come up with a pretty nifty fix to meet your on-the-go energy needs: the "power-in-a-bag" BatPac which you can sling over your shoulder—or, more accurately, over your assistant's shoulder—and bring to your next outdoor shoot. |
