LaCie to Offer Free Online Backup With Drives

Oct 30, 2008
David Schloss - Products Editor

LaCie is one of the better-known external drive makers in the photographic space, and the company is starting to sweeten their offerings with one-year online backup from the online-storage provider Carbonite. Beginning in November, each drive sold from LaCie will have a free account with the backup company. The Mac version of the backup tools are currently in beta (we're guessing they'll be final some time in November?) so this will be good for both platforms.

The latest addition to the PDN family, the PDN Gear Guide in print, has a total circulation of 30,000, and covers the latest and greatest in photographic equipment.
