Existing users can get the new version of Nikon's RAW conversion and image editing software as a free update, and new users can download a trial version of the software. Among the update's offerings: support for RAW NEF images taken with the D3 and D300, support for Picture Control, the addition of an Active D-Lighting item to RAW adjustments in the Base Adjustments, the addition of Sodium Vapor Lamps and High Temperature Mercury Vapor (7200K) settings, the ability to save RAW images with lossless compression regardless of Nikon camera model, Vignette Control function support for JPEG and TIFF pix and more.
